Branding

I have been going to many webinars during the last month, learning about starting a business in the 2020’s. Most of them have been through the Inland Empire’s Women’s Business Center and the Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center. The webinars have been fantastic, plus the price was right for someone that is bootstrapping it. I’m glad I have had the opportunity to attend so many. Once things start getting back to normal, driving to either one of the locations will be out of the question.

I went through some of my old college papers that I saved on my computer, and found a mini marketing plan I did in my Marketing class a few years ago. I kinda got carried away, and it was 35 pages long. I did get an A on it and in the class, so there’s that! My paper was completely branded. We were given a company and could work by alone, or in a group. I had a lot on my plate at the time, and I decided I would do it alone. Anyways, it was for a frozen potato company, and their colors were navy blue, orange and yellow. I used different colors for the headings, and just went to town with the graphics, so I do understand branding, but when you are starting from scratch trying to build a brand in the quickest amount of time, it is a little daunting. Well back to what I have been doing all day, this morning I attended the last part of a three part series on branding. A couple of weeks ago I started using a free trial at Canva to produce my logo, and my branding. I had been hearing a lot about the company, and let me tell you if you like pretty things, it is easy to get sucked in! Branding is a huge part of a business, especially if you are a solo entrepreneur.
