I love the 4th of July. I have always loved firework shows, especially when they are choreographed with patriotic music. When I lived in San Diego, and worked on the boats, the Forth was a mandatory day. We were booked solid on all seven yachts, because San Diego really knows how to put on a spectacular fireworks show. After we moved to LA County, we became spectators to the extravaganzas of the neighborhood shows. Plus, for the first time, we were able to buy safe & sane fireworks (all fireworks are illegal in San Diego County). I have also worked in a couple different fireworks booths, one time for the children’s program at our former church, and another time for my son’s high school marching band. This year, I think we”ll look for a show on the 3rd, so we can be home, and comfort our chihuahua.
